Two-time Pace Culture Warrior Award winner Lindsay Boyd gets a charge from Pace’s fast-paced (pardon the pun) environment. “The more twists and turns, the better,” said Lindsay. For her, identifying the root cause of an issue and then working with the team to find the resolution is what it’s all about.
“In my role as Compliance Supervisor here at Pace, I have the opportunity and the pleasure to work seamlessly with a multitude of our teams,” she said. An 8 and ½ year Pace veteran serving clients and internal team members at Pace, Lindsay previously worked in Pace’s Customer Success and Finance departments. Those roles were great preparation for her current role in compliance.
“We assist not only our W2 drivers through the onboarding process, but also our numerous independent contractors and freight agents,” Lindsay said. The intricate balancing and coordination act brings in at a minimum the following Pace teams:
- Pace Operations
- Human Resources
- Carrier Relations
The collaboration results in an efficient process to onboard drivers quickly and accurately to get them on the road delivering in service to our Pace clients.
Lindsay’s thoughts about Pace’s Core Value to serve relentlessly are spot on. “When we act with kindness, generosity, strength and integrity, it never fails,” she said. “Lending a helping hand or ear to others to assist with improving their circumstance makes me feel good about myself and puts a smile on both of our faces,” Lindsay continued.
When asked about her enjoyment in helping Pace clients be successful, Lindsay said that “seeing others succeed and reach their goals brings me joy. If I can contribute to a fraction of the reason, I too have succeeded. Small wins add up quickly, make big impacts, and tend to educate us all at the same time so we can in turn help the next more efficiently.”
Always cheerful and upbeat, Lindsay enjoys traveling to Virginia to watch her son play football at Washington and Lee University. Kayaking, road trips, enjoying Mexican food, and live bands are some of Lindsay’s other well deserved down-time activities.
