Overview
In 2017, Pace started the Pace Foundation to foster our mission to serve relentlessly and to give back to the communities where we do business. Funding for the Pace Foundation is provided by annual contributions from the company’s profits. The Foundation then makes donations to non-profit organizations whose activities and programs align with Pace’s Core Values, Mission and Pillars of Focus.

Volunteer Work
During April 2019, Pace expanded the work of the Pace Foundation by participating in National Volunteer Week. More than fifty members of the Pace Team donated over 120 hours of their time to support organizations such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Prodisee Pantry in Mobile, AL, and the American Red Cross in Knoxville, TN. Throughout the year, Pace Team Members also gave their time to organizations in Birmingham, AL including Brother Bryan Mission, First Light Shelter, and Special Equestrians. In total during 2019, over sixty-five members of the Pace Team volunteered over 150 hours in our local communities. Thank you to everyone who donated their time and lived out our Core Values and Mission on behalf of the Pace Foundation!
End of Year Giving
To close out the 2019 giving year, the Pace Foundation provided financial gifts to First Light Shelter, Brother Bryan Mission, and Special Equestrians. It has been a special honor to partner with these organizations, to understand their missions and the impact they have made, and finally to support them when we can.
- $30,000 donation to First Light Shelter. First Light is an emergency shelter for homeless women and their children in the Birmingham area. Their mission is to work with homeless women and their children to create hospitality in a safe and nurturing environment, to encourage them to maintain dignity, to find hope, to seek opportunity, and to grow spiritually thereby achieving their full potential. First Light will use these funds to support its daily operations. Pace will be the presenting sponsor for the annual First Light Gala in 2020.
- $15,000 donation to Brother Bryan Mission. Brother Bryan Mission is a shelter for economically, emotionally, and spiritually impoverished men in the central Alabama area. Brother Bryan Mission plans to use our donation to support their daily operations as well as improvements to their facility. We hope this financial contribution helps to provide resources for the men of Brother Bryan to regain their independence and return to their normal, productive life.
- $9,500 donation to Special Equestrians. Special Equestrians provides high quality therapeutic horseback riding and equine-assisted activities to individuals with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. With this contribution, Pace will sponsor a rider who participates in the program and a horse for the 2020 year.
