Pace is proud to announce another Culture Warrior of the Month, Cadle Mitchell! Cadle is a Logistics Supervisor in our Atlanta market and supports Pace Operations for the many customers we service there. Cadle was nominated by his teammates and selected as Culture Warrior of the Month because he demonstrates Pace’s Core Values day in and day out.
Cadle makes it a priority to Get the Job Done, no matter what. He works tirelessly to provide the highest quality of service and professionalism for all customers. When necessary, Cadle works extended hours to ensure all customer needs are met. In Atlanta, we service customers with varying schedules, which equates to long days and ever-changing priorities. Cadle doesn’t complain about the demands of the job and, instead, takes it all in stride. He truly exemplifies what it means to Serve Relentlessly.
Cadle is a shining example of our value to Always Improve. The Atlanta team works hard to run a successful operation for our customers. Despite the consistent, quality service the Pace Atlanta team turns out, Cadle makes a point to identify ways to improve our performance. He looks for details to tweak in order to produce better results, improve our performance, and generate a better customer experience. “Cadle is a jack of all trades around here. With his diverse knowledge and various skills accompanied with a great attitude he is the true definition of a Culture Warrior. He is always looking out for more effective ways to operate and help any team members to achieve our goals,” remarks Poppy Titus, Pace Culture Warrior Champion and Account Manager at Pace Atlanta.
This year, Cadle was instrumental in Pace’s success with the sort and seg startup for Cato across several of our markets. Pace Atlanta was our first location to provide sort and seg to Cato, and Cadle quickly became a subject matter expert! Not only did he help Atlanta startup successfully, but he also supported launches in other Pace markets, like Hammond. Cadle was there to Do the Right Thing and help the larger Pace Team – beyond his Atlanta team – be successful.

Pace is fortunate to have Cadle as a member of the team, and we are proud to name him Culture Warrior of the Month!
Keeping Pace sat down with Cadle to learn more about our newest Culture Warrior of the Month. Briefly describe your typical day at Pace.
My typical day starts with identifying any issues or take-aways from the night before and following up with action plans. Then, I review tasks for the day with my direct reports, putting final plans in place and getting feedback from them on how things are going or ideas for improvement. After that, I review the previous day’s profitability for our different operations, looking over commissions and getting with supervisors on any issues there. Once that’s done, I check with Beau (Crook) or Patrick (Raible) for any ongoing issues they know of and start attacking those.
What’s the best thing about working for Pace?
I love that every day brings new challenges, and the solutions are never the same. Almost every job we do requires specific solves, and the more out-of-the-box you get, the better your outcomes are. I’ve never had a boring day at Pace.
Which Core Value do you identify with most?
Working here, being involved in so many relationships and negotiations with contractors and customers both, makes you realize how important it is to be genuine and to do what you say. In this business, our relationships mean a lot and to keep those intact you have to follow through and make sure at the end of the day people trust your word.
In your opinion, what makes Pace’s culture unique?
We have people from so many different places – it makes for such an interesting group of people to know. From drivers to employees, everyone has a different story and different traditions. Really gives you a larger perspective to be involved with so many different people.
What is one of your proudest moments or biggest accomplishments while working at Pace?
I think it was setting up our initial Cato sort with never having any done anything like it prior. Our success there really made me proud of what we can do under pressure. It was an entire business of unknown problems and a lot of moving pieces, bringing new people and new challenges to our market.
What inspires you?
My family inspires me. I have a loving wife and two wonderful children, and they inspire me to work hard and improve every day.
What do you when you’re not at the office?
I’ve always been a puzzle guy, and some of the best puzzles are machines. I’ve been both a welder and a Diesel Mechanic previously, and I still do some side work on my off days working on earth movers or quarry machines. I ’m also in the middle of restoring a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda and a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10.
