Open for Business
Pace is opening our largest warehouse to date! Our newest and biggest facility will be open for business in the Atlanta market. Just up the road from our former facilities in Lithia Springs, we will once again combine all our warehouse based-operations under one roof. Located at 550 Hartman Road in Austell, Georgia, the 74,026 square-foot building, featuring fifteen dock-doors and a drive-in ramp, will serve as Pace’s new Atlanta base of operations. You can learn more about Pace Atlanta here.
The Facility
The building is new, and it was built in a customized fashion to serve our partners in this market. Casey Crook, Pace Chief Operating Officer, reports that this new building will be our “Taj Mahal, our biggest and nicest facility.” Regional Director Sean Miller says that “the conveyors will be in place on September 14th, and we will serve all of our pool distribution customers there. In addition to the five offices already in the building, we will be adding large conference rooms, and a warehouse office.”
Customers and Service Offerings
Our current pool distribution customers will soon be joined by two more out of this facility. Pace’s current e-commerce cross dock operations will grow and diversify from here as well. A portion of our e-commerce service will process up to 250,000 cartons and 120 inbound and outbound trailers daily. Our e-commerce service offerings include not only cross dock and middle mile routes, but also inbound processing; organizing in pods, carts, or gaylords; and outbound dispatches – all complete with scanning at every stage.
As Pace expands to this larger warehouse in Atlanta, Sean Miller reflects, “The space is more than ample to support all of our current and scheduled start-ups.” Sean adds, “Our conveyor system has the capacity for existing work, and this building positions us for future growth in the Atlanta market, including more pool distribution services.”
