Duties

  • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Complete projects by assigning work to clerical staff; following up on results.
  • Cultivate strong partnership with customers’ planners, Pace Operational teams, and sites.
  • Assist in optimizing and planning the partner/vendor network.
  • Screen incoming phone calls and emails to Carrier Relations.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve strong customer relationships with our carriers.
  • Collect and monitor specific activities to assess trends and opportunities for each Sort Center or Distribution Center as it relates to the effective performance of our partners, providing constructive feedback and recommendations.
  • Research, document and communicate carrier partner concerns to superiors.
  • Coach, champion, and sometimes take the lead on improvement projects for a market or region.
  • Assimilate and organize information from various support departments as directed.
  • Assist and follow through with the onboarding process of new partners.
  • Build Xcel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and data bases for internal and external use
  • Review KPI’s and metrics to assess and understand the effectiveness of new partnerships and projected benefit of such relationships.
  • Work with multiple routing software platforms, identifying, and creating efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality of service and issue resolution.
  • Work with a team and manager to improve operational inefficiencies and grow accounts.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of account service and make recommendations for improvement.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, schedule TBD and some evenings, weekends may be necessary as work assignments warrant
  • Ability to effectively communication both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to investigate customer/carrier concerns and solve them in a timely manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service

Duties

  • Perform all activities necessary to process bi-weekly full-cycle, multi-state payrolls.
  • Build and cultivate a relationship with 320+ employees to obtain payroll input in a timely manner and support timekeeping and attendance data issues.
  • Partner with Management Team on any exceptions to payroll processing dealing with Time and Attendance and Paid Time Off.
  • Ensure PTO requests, holidays and other unique entries are properly entered into the system and properly accounted for each payroll cycle.
  • Ensure ad-hoc pay entries, including retro pay, commissions and/or bonuses are correctly accounted for each payroll cycle.
  • Run general ledger (GR), 401K, payroll preview and management-specific reports with the ability to break-out data by issue, department, benefits and/or other needed categories on both a recurring and ad-hoc basis.
  • Reconcile all payments, withdrawals, deductions and time entries on a rolling, recurring basis to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Distribute payroll preview reports to over 25 locations and collect and incorporate feedback as appropriate.
  • Handle all garnishment, lien, bankruptcy, child support and/or court mandated pay cycle requirements on a rolling, recurring basis.
  • Conduct routine audits of the payroll system and related components.
  • Provide training to Team Members and management on payroll processing activities and best practices.

Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with ADP payroll system preferred.
  • 2 – 4 years Payroll Administration and HRIS administration is AWESOME!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills a strong MUST!
  • 2 – 4 years of multi state payroll processing experience using ADP Workforce Now would be GREAT!
  • Payroll Tax Administration experience would be nice.
